One of the oldest cities in Belgium, Tournai houses UNESCO world heritage sites and historical buildings, such as the cathedral, the belfry and the splendid Cloth Hall on the Grand-Place. Clovis, the founder of the Merovingian dynasty of France, was born in Tournai.

We visit the modernist Boekentoren (Books Tower) in the city of Gent (Ghent) and have our end-of-year reception at the 18th-C Rococo hôtel particulier 'Falligan'.

The hinterland of Bruges is an area brimming with history, lush greenery and timeless villages. On September 19th we visited one of its great gardens in Oedelem and a fairytale neo-gothic castle in Loppem. A memorable day in good company.
